Welcome to the Brock Bowling Club website.
William Denny Shield Winners 2009
Situated in the heart of Dumbarton the club is located on the north side of Crosslet Road and lies between two schools, Dumbarton Academy and St Patricks Primary. The original clubhouse was located between the bowling green and tennis courts, which have been closed for many years, the ground having been required by the local Education Authority. A new clubhouse was constructed on the opposite side of the green in 1966 and has been extended, first in 1978 and more recently in 1993. It now provides a games room, main hall, bowls, committee rooms and the services of excellent facilities.

We now have a working forum, there are boards on bowls, poker, darts and dominos, even crib!. Once you register we will keep you updated with the latest on the site and the club.

After a mixed day weather wise the winners were A.Clifford, M.Clifford and G.Grace, who won after an extra end in the final.
Runners up were J.Kane, D.Murdoch and L.Kane.

Well it only took 4 league games, but we finally get a winning team at home, followed quickly by another one .
S.Gray, B.Monaghan, P.Hegarty and A.Rawle. and T.Erskine jnr, L.Kane, J.Owens and A. Clifford.
Unfortunately we had no away winners |

We're proud to announce that after a short break, our find the joker competition is back in full swing!
To enter, buy tickets from the bar, put your name and pick a number which has not yet been drawn. The draw takes place each friday evening. If your ticket is drawn and the joker is behind the number you have chosen, you win the jackpot!
We'll be updating the find the joker page on a weekly basis. Make sure you check to see if you're number has been drawn or just to see who was soooo close to winning that big prize!

Only 1 winning rink in the County Cup for the club which was the rink of:-
S.Gray, B.Monaghan, D. McCafferty and J. McCallum, well done guys.
The Cup was won by Dumbarton Bowling Club. |

22 teams turned out for the Brock's annual open triples, sponsored by I.M.Campbell.
Section winners were
A:- S.Graham
B:- S.Gray
C:- B.Grace
D:- W.T.Hughes
The winners of the semi finals were S.Gray and W.T.Hughes.
In the final S.Gray, R.Gray and B.Monaghan defeated W.T.Hughes, L.Kane and W.Keady.
Well done to the winners and thanks to all competitors and Lig for his sponsorship. |
