Welcome to the Brock Bowling Club website.
William Denny Shield Winners 2009
Situated in the heart of Dumbarton the club is located on the north side of Crosslet Road and lies between two schools, Dumbarton Academy and St Patricks Primary. The original clubhouse was located between the bowling green and tennis courts, which have been closed for many years, the ground having been required by the local Education Authority. A new clubhouse was constructed on the opposite side of the green in 1966 and has been extended, first in 1978 and more recently in 1993. It now provides a games room, main hall, bowls, committee rooms and the services of excellent facilities.

We now have a working forum, there are boards on bowls, poker, darts and dominos, even crib!. Once you register we will keep you updated with the latest on the site and the club.

The club pairs took place yesterday (Sunday 02/08/2009). It was a good turn out with 15 teams competing in 3 groups. The section winners were B Monaghan / S Gray, T Erskine Jnr / WT Hughes, D McCafferty / J Owens. Highest runners up were W Grace / G Grace. In the semi finals B Monaghan / S Gray beat T Erskine Jnr / WT Hughes, W Grace / G Grace beat D McCafferty / J Owens Winners of the competition after a close final were W Grace / G Grace. Congratulations to Billy and George, winners of a well run tournament and a good day was had by all. |
